Suggest..: Stop smoking if you do, check your medications as it can be caused by medications such as ace-inhibitors, try dextromethophane otc, and if continues for more than 10 days contact your doctor for evaluation. Things other than "flu" can cause persistent coughing and the list is long especially at your age.
