I am at work & realized i have left my metoprolol at home.if i should take the med an hour or so after my usual dose, will i experience any effects?

Probably not: An hour after your usual dose is no cause for worry. Depending on why you're taking metoprolol, waiting too long (4 hours or more after your normal time) may cause rebound hypertension, a fast heartbeat, or other symptoms.
