A member asked:

Alright, what forms of calcium can i consume that will not burden my kidneys?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calcium: It depends on why you are why you are taking calcium (supplement, antacid, vitamin) and if you have kidney disease. If your kidneys are healthy, most calcium is safe. For example, calcium carbonate can be used as an antacid or a calcium supplement. The body will use what it needs and get rid of excess as along as you do not over do it.
