Exposure Therapy: Graduated exposure to feared situations http://tinyurl.Com/m3z7fkf -- along with response prevention in some instances http://tinyurl.Com/mngrzl5 -- is part of cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt). When you say "attempting cbt" does this mean you started but did not finish for some reason? Your therapist would be working with you, monitoring progress ; adjusting methods for best results.

Intimacy Issues: Not enough information to recommend exposure therapy. Contact your state psychological association for psychologists in your area who deal with issues such as yours.
