BHRT: To the best of my understanding this is a form of alternative medicine which has little data to support its use. Best of luck.

Risk/benefit: Bioidentical hormones (bhrt) is not widely used but getting more attention. The concern for you is the risk of breast cancer (regular hormone replacement has been shown to be a risk). Work with your oncology team and gynecologist to find solutions to treat your symptoms. There are some non-hormone options that can be used.

Various options: Finding an M.D. or D.O. trained in the prescribing of BHRT can be a daunting task, especially if you reside in a more remote area. If you live in Beverly Hills, no problem. Suzanne Somers now has a website listing physicians with this training. Or try contact the American Academy of Antiaging medicine, which is a huge international group of physicians with proper training and knowledge.
