Some colon polyps...: ...Can develop into colon cancer and if a patient has multiple polyps, they could carry an inherited trait (fap, attenuated fap, myh, and others) which can increase the risk for other cancers. To my knowledge, though, lung cancer is not one of those. Smoking is your main risk factor. If you do, pleeease quit.
