MVP: Mitral valve prolapse is a valular heart disease characterized by the displacement of abnormally thickened mitral valve leaflet into the left atrium during systole. It is diagnosed by 2d echo. The medication given "propanalol" may prevent some of the symptoms of disautonomia which include palpitations and chest pain. Aspirin has anti platelet activity which may be beneficial.
