Hard to know: Melatonin typically comes in 3 mg tablets, and the dose, for treatment of insomnia, is 1-3 tablets at bedtime. Therefore, 10 mg is about the maximal dose. But since these are mostly unregulated supplements, it's hard to know what dose you're actually getting. Try it, but if it makes you too tired the next day, it may be too much.
