Could be but...: Xanax (alprazolam) tends to be a short acting med so a withdrawal after 1 or 2 scattered doses is not typical. Usually folks who take the medications regularly and stop them abruptly can have the more common withdrawal symptoms of increased jitteriness and palpitations. However, anyone can respond differently. Talk with your doc more about alternatives. Find other ways to de-stress as well!

Hard to say: Why was xanax (alprazolam) prescribed in the first place? It generally would take longer and more consistent dosing than you describe here, for habituation to develop. You may be very sensitive to it, but this would still not habituate you sooner. More likely that the basic anxiety you might have been having, is so far insufficiently treated. Please discuss with your own physician.
