A member asked:

Factor 8 level 162. dvt diagnosed when i was taking testosterone and stopped taking t after dvt.could testosterone and elevated factor 8 cause clot?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Testosterone clots: T can certainly increase the risk of dvt. This is one of the reasons why t should not be given lightly. People who have DVT often have multiple risk factors involving poor circulation, injury to blood vessels and/or abnormalities in blood proteins. An elevated factor 8 can be a risk factor, but I am not sure what that level of 162 means. You should see a specialist, perhaps hematologist.
