I hope you take...: ...All of your loved ones' illnesses seriously--i don't think your husband is faking. However, his persistent or worsening distress, development of vomiting with blood, blood in diarrhea, significant fever, dehydration are indeed potentially serious consequences of even a "stomach virus." check how badly he feels ; get him to doctor if willing; provide interim supportive care; monitor progress.
