Several reasons.: Trace blood can be identified in urinary tract infection. Your physician may consider checking how many red blood cells are actually seen in a urine specimen. This needs to be followed until there is no blood in urine. If persists, or is >3 red blood cells in each microscopic field, you may need more testing.
