A greenstick: Fracture refers to a pattern of bone injury when the fracture or break does not go all the way though to the other side of a bone as in a green fresh twig that is not dried out. There is still a break just not a "snap" like a dry twig. Treatment depends upon the fracture, locaton and position of the bone just as it does for any fracture, though sometimes for a greenstick we " complete the break".
