Get another opinion: as to the source of the pain. If you can, go to a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician. If you can find a prolotherapist (see www.getprolo.com), there are some safer alternatives to steroids for treating tendon and ligament pain coming from the spine and causing sciatic type pain. Good luck, this is a vexing problem.
