Honey is Sugar: Honey has no special or unique health benefits. It is 100% sugar. It is a natural form of sugar, but we now know that sugar is to be limited in a diet if one wants to be healthy.

Surprising benefits: While honey is mostly sugar, it also contains a broad range of beneficial phytonutrients proven to have many health benefits. Raw honey is an excellent natural cough syrup, applied topically helps wounds to heal (; is antimicrobial), stimulates immune function, is an antioxidant, lowers cholesterol ; c-reactive protein ; is a relatively healthy sweetener for diabetics- see http://bit.Ly/1aporiw.
