Gas/cramp: The inside of our body is rather limited in its pattern of pain recognition. Localization is less accurate than the body surface and the stretch sensors trigger the sharp pains. These usually reflect movement of fluids or gas in uncoordinated ways within short segments of the gut. Somewhat like labor pains, a short segment of gut spasms and the stuff inside has nowhere to go.

Go back to your doc: Only he/she can figure it out from your symptoms/history and examination. X-rays and scans will not show some conditions like infections in the bladder or bowel. These can only show changescif there is any tumor or growth.
