Press on the wound: For a cut in the kitchen, the wound is usually not very dirty. However, there still are germs. Immediately after the cut, one can use the hand soap by the sink to briefly wash the forearm, wrist, and hand that is injured. Then grab a clean cloth towel and cover the wound. Press firmly through the clean towel, onto the wound, and don't let go until about 20 minutes later. The E.R. Doctor can check.
