Cause and effect: When anecdotal reports of chronic disease resolution are released, it is common to try to attribute it to something specific. While possible, the science needed to really attribute a cause is usually not there. This particular topic (dental mercury) evokes strongly held opinions that are mostly based on beliefs rather than evidence. Look for information in objective media to learn more about this.

'Some cases': Were resolved (due to mercury hypersensitivity). While it is possible, the vast majority of patients suffering with lupus will not have any improvement of their symptoms merely by having amalgam fillings replaced. I can't tell you whether or not it was true in the article quoted. Further, i don't believe this is a mainstream treatment protocol. Patients should discuss with their own md.
