Exam if symptoms: A pre-existing fungal rash, presumably in the area of your genitals would not interfere with evaluation for other std's and if you are having symptoms suggestive of an std, discharge, painful lesion, burning with urination etc then get evaluated quickly.

Fungal rash: Fungal rashes are caused by fungus, most commonly candida. This can occur non-sexually in men with diabetes, immunocompromised men, and uncircumcised men. Std's can also produce rashes but they are specific. Herpes often produces painful blisters grouped together on penis. Syphilis produces a chancre, a painless ulcer on or around genital area. Psoriasis can occur on genitals.
