See ORS: Sharp occasional pains in your hip 'flexor' w / no recent hx of injury could be the earliest manifestations of hip arthritis . Groin pain w/ walking is common w/ people w/ oa of their hip. Middle age is also a common time for childhood hip conditions (ddh, scfe) to make themselves known. See your ors for exam and x-rays . Good luck!
