Cells are dying: Cells are dying always, as the old saying goes, you begin to die the moment that you are born. As part if normal aging, cells in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum due throughout life. Accelerated cell death is pathological. This is easily detected with neuroimaging techniques such AAA MRI and pet scanning.
