Scabs?: I've never seen a scab in the mouth, but i'd imagine a warm salt water rinse or a antibacterial rinse obtained from your dentist would be helpful.

Tongues don't scab: Because the mouth is a wet place scabs do not form in the mouth. Something else is going on here that resembles a scab to you. Without seeing the area it is impossible to diagnose but one possibility is oral cancer. I would have this area evaluated by your dentist or an oral surgeon asap. It may be nothing but it is best not to take chances. If treatment is required early treatment is better.
