Exposed bone: What to do, if anything, would depend upon whether the exposed bone is at the base of the socket, or a bone spicule that has become dislodged, or a sharp piece of bone that is now not covered with gum tissue. See your dentist right away and he\she can determine how to best resolve the issue.
