See below: You may loose a few pounds initially but the weight loss is due to fluid. Then you reach a steady state and do not loose weight. This medication is not indicated for weight loss and if not taken under supervision of a doctor and for the right purpose such as hypertension it can cause serious electrolyte abnormalities.
