I'm 36wks and afraid to have labor while i have vulvar varicose. how safe to have normal delivery while the varicose is present? my ob say it's ok?!

Please trust your: Ob as your OB has seen the varicosity and where they are and how big they are, they will get worse as u get closer to your due date and when u push the baby out, if u were my pt and did not want to worry about them getting worse from a possible vaginal delivery i would offer you an elective c-section and i assume u have an idea of efw nothing worse than pushing 2 hsr and then having c-section.

Varicosities: There is rarely a situation that the vulva is damaged during a spontaneous vaginal birth. If you have varicose veins in the vaginal and/or vulvar area, your OB will be the best person to evaluate safety for delivery.
