No.: Angiomas are actually benign tumors of blood vessels or lymphatics. When related to veins they are called hemangiomas. They can occur in multiple shapes, sizes and locations and can be normal findings or associated with underlying illnesses such as liver disease and also various medical syndromes. They are not related to saphenous vein insufficiency.

Unlikely: Some arteriovenous malformations with substantial, flow are related to, varicosities. Good exam and doppler may give some guidance.
