Food impaction: You may be getting food impacted into that open contact, resulting in gingival inflammation. Have your dentist check it and make sure that is the only problem in that area before the new crown is cemented.

Interproximal pain: May be due to food impaction, excess temporary cement, poor contours or adaptation of the temporary crown, inadequate oral hygiene, or something else. Have your own dentist take and look and tell you what's causing it and how to alleviate the problem. It may be a combination of factors.

Sensitivity: There are tiny nerve endings on your tooth under your temporary. Cold or heath will cause sensitivity. Temps are temps. Once the permanent crown is cemented it should be ok.
