Xyphoid process: You may just be feeling the lowest part of the breastbone, the xyphoid process.It could be anteverted and be more prominent than usual, and could be tender. Or, you may have a small epigastric hernia at the superior margin of the abdominal midline wall. You should seek an exam, but i wouldn't be too worried for now. Good luck.
