How long it takes for retinal tears to develop to detachment?is it possible for both eyes to have retinal tears at same time?

depends: If the tear is on the top side, it can progress rapidly. If below it might go slowly and intermediate if on the side. If you suspect any of these, you need evaluation as soon as possible. Bilateral detachment is uncommon but can also occur.
