What shot?: I assume you're referring to depo-provera shot but we're taught never to assume because it'll make an ass out of you ; me (check spelling of "assume"). Any way, you may be describing mittelschmerz (http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/mittelschmerz/ds00507) or ovulatory pain. Best to go see your family doc ; discuss your goals ; options re fertility ; contraception as well as your std risk.
