not likely: Having a swollen knee is usually not the result of any changes in circulation to the knee, and so a "circulation booster" would not be anticipated to help with knee swelling. Common causes of knee swelling in a 70 year old include an aggravation of underlying osteoarthritis, a degenerative meniscal tear, an overuse synrome such as pes anserine bursitis, or an inflammatory condition such as gout..
