Reflux: The questions to ask are is he losing weight and not thriving? Is he having breathing difficulties? Does he have normal gastric emptying? Your doctor can assess these and refer to a specialist if there is a problem.

Mayneed further eval: Medical management is usually successful in an otherwise healthy child. Intervention may be required in children with complications of relfux: failure to thrive, bleeding, stricutre or narrowing of esophagus, aspiration pneumonia, sids. If continues, would see a GI specialist.
