no they are given: For symptomatic facet arthritis. They typically comprise of medication meant to decrease pain (a numbing medication), and a medication meant to decrease inflammation (for example a steroid medication).

No: Facet injections are to address low back pain or neck pain associated with facet pain issues. These could be from arthritic problems or whiplash type injuries.
