tongue lesion: You should see an ENT doctor to examine the lesion and your dentition. A persistent ulcer on tongue should be biopsied to r/o malignancy and this can be done at the office.

It may be anything from a perfectly normal fissure to a neoplastic lesion. To answer your question you must have the structure physically examined. Start with your dentist ; physician. If necessary, thy will refer you onward.
