A member asked:

Would your wbc be elavated in a cbc if you have bacterial meningitis? if not what would be elavated in the cbc

Often, not always: If there is any suspicion of bacterial meningitis clinically, you should already have had a lumbar puncture and analysis of the spinal fluid. You describe mild headaches -- that's not bacterial meningitis. You also mention "monocytes and basophils are a little elevated" on your CBC -- that's no concern. Just needing glasses can make your life miserable with headaches -- happened to me.
