13mm ovarian cyst. can it be treated with medications or surgery?

Insignificant? : That's a very small cyst, and could just be related to corpus luteum. I suspect nothing will be necessary but time. If some symptoms are persistent, keep in touch with your doctor. Good luck.

Physiologic event.: Of the cohort of maturing follicles at the beginning of the menstrual cycle, one matures and reaches a size of 18 to 20 mm at midcycle. The 13 mm cyst qualifies for the above description, which means you don't need medications or surgery. The ultrasound just picked up a physiologic event in a young woman.
