Blanching: The whitening of the skin below your fingernails could be completely normal but in some cases , the diagnosis of anemia should be considered.

Maybe normal.: If the skin under your nails is only slightly lighter than elsewhere it is probably normal. If it is significantly lighter you might have an anemia or other internal situation. Let your doctor evaluate you, just to be safe.
