Could be: It seems like your doc ruled out a UTI and is treating you for some type of vaginitis. If you have vaginitis, the vaginal mucosa will be tender and might be irritated by the current treatment. If your sx persist after the tx, you should contact your doc again.

I took a uti test. Urine shows leukocytes but no nitrites. Can bv cause that to happen? I have burning in vaginal opening as well
