Dementia?: The same thing happens to me, and i'm only 55! i can't tell from your question whether this is the only cognitive problem she has (in which case she may just be unhappy that she's 91) or if she's having other cognitive problems or memory loss, in which case she may be developing dementia. If you're worried about dementia, you should have her evaluated for reversible or treatable causes.
