A member asked:

Is it safe to use coumadin (warfarin) and propranolol at the same time? i use coumadin (warfarin) because of an old dvt. no clotting disorders.

Probably: This is a tricky one. The short answer is if you've been on Propranolol a while, and your inr is being monitored, you are okay i take them together. If Propranolol is new or your dose is being changed, it might require some additional monitoring ; maybe dose adjustment of your warfarin if your inr goes outside range. Make sure all your doctors know all your meds.

Yes.: You can safely use both medications together. Coumadin (warfarin) is a blood thinner and Propranolol is a beta blocker. They have different functions and do not interact with each other.
