Metatarsal fx: Depends on many factors including the severity of the injury. Most broken bones mend within about six to eight weeks with some exceptions. Fifth metatarsal fractures are notorious for difficult or slow healing. In general, pain improves weekly until the fracture has completely mended and soft tissues have healed as well.

4-8 weeks is normal: Depending on your sensitivity and the complexity of the fracture, some pain may extend beyond that - but 8 weeks would be a time to look for relief. Good luck.
