What causes headache pain behind the right ear ?should i ask a doc for ears or head?

Sinusitis/neuralgia: Headache pain behind the ear could be a form or sinusitis called mastoiditis as in the inflammation of sinus in the mastoid bone that is behind the ear. Other possibility is occipital neuralgia due to irritation of occipital nerve. If you have history of sinusitis go to ENT doctor, otherwise go to neurologist. Also if you have change in hearing, ear fullness or tinnitus, go to ent.
