Textbook says:: A mole or otherwise similar looking melanocytic nevus, can have morphologic or chromatic changes, which can signify a change to a hyperplastic entity. That means a mole can be become a cancer, but sometimes you cannot tell without a biopsy. Overall, stay out of the sun without protection, and if you are concerned about an area on your skin, have it evaluated by a dermatologist.
