Possibly: I think that considering hormone issues is important for both men and women. In the context of andropause one would predict the emergence of mood and anxiety symptoms. Also it may help to get your thyroid hormone checked. Although a purely biological etiology to mental illness is possible it often emerges in a context of stress and strained coping skills. Stay safe!

Emotional self-mgmt: Yes, hormones do play a role. Ok, you have a point. Money stress will only make it worse and some tx is not helpful. So try some diy. There are good sites this is just one. http://www.anxietycoach.com/breathingexercise.html perhaps a mindfulness meditation group class? You can do things that will help. Good luck.
