No: We do know that some of the statements in the great books of faith communities can't be understood literally -- and i doubt that the wonderful poetry about creation was ever intended to give a literal age to the earth. Even billy graham considers this a misuse of scripture. Many of my scientist friends are active persons of faith -- there's much that is outside the realm of science. Best wishes.
