Time to quit: It may not be cancer but, you're well on your way toward it if you are dipping tobacco. Go see an ENT or oral surgeon for an examination and possible biopsy. Ask for help in quitting all tobacco products. You're so young that it'd be a shame for you to put yourself at unnecessary risk for mouth and jaw cancer.

Unlikely: This is unlikely to be a cancer given your age. The lesions could be from trauma from your retainer or a bite. If your retainer isn't fitting well you should have it adjusted. If the lesions persist more than a couple weeks definitely see your orthodontist/dentist /pmd. If you are using tobacco and quit now you will not have effects. Continue and run risk of gingival or buccal cancer in future.
