Dry cough: Dry cough can be caused by a form of acid reflux called laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr). Sometimes LPR is 'silent' meaning that no hearty burn is noted. Stop caffeine, alcohol and late meals and try otc acid blockers (omeprazole). If your cough continues see a pulmonary doctor.
