Abdominal pain: Left upper abdominal pain can be related to a gastric ulcer, or an intestinal problem, like diverticulitis, which is uncommon in your age. In order to check for ulcer you can check a blood test for a bacteria called h. Pylori. If you have it, 2 weeks of antibiotics and acid blocker can be effective. An upper endoscopy can provide a definitive diagnosis for ulcer.
