Anxiety and weight: Yes, anxiety can produce weight loss if it reduces your eating. Of course, not eating can also produce anxiety, especially in extreme cases such as with anorexia nervosa. There are lots of potential causes. You need to see your primary care doctor and get a check up!

See your doctor soon: It's possible, but unintentional weight loss can also be a sign of a serious medical problem. I strongly recommend that you see your primary care physician as soon as you can to rule out any medical causes of your weight loss. When and if you've determined that there are no medical problems, you should see a psychiatrist to help you with the anxiety.
