A member asked:

Does memory loss after waking up from seizure come back?

Yes and no...: There are many types of seizures. Seizures known as "partial complex" may not lead to loss of consciousness, but may cause memory troubles--like writing on the blackboard with your right hand while erasing the thought with the left. Seizures with loss of consciousness usually causes confusion upon arousal; the memory loss may be tied into having partial complex ones before the actual big one.

Unlikely: In general, in the immediate time period after a generalized seizure (the post-ictal period), memory registration is impaired and new memories cannot be properly formed. It is not likely that events which occur in the post-ictal period will be recalled.
